Had Potential but was Dirty
The unit had so much potential, but missed the mark because it was so dirty. The floors seemed like they hadn’t been cleaned in awhile, so much so that anytime my nephew (1 y/o) crawled on the floor he was immediately covered in dirt. We found multiple cockroaches in one of the bedrooms too. The unit had everything we were hoping for as far as a kitchen to cook in with supplies, the pool and sunroom, and a big open living area for entertaining a family of 7, but the lack of cleanliness would deter us from staying in this unit again. The furniture in the common area was really uncomfortable and there were no pillows or blankets.

We’d attention and better management
Checkin was super confusing. We planned to rent a golf cart for use at the resort. We also wanted to pre-rent beach chairs. I emailed Vacasa about these things, and to ask about the shuttle service. I was told golf carts are fine, and the shuttle service does not run that time of year (October). They weren’t sure about beach umbrellas, but there were rentals 2.7mi down the beach (WHAT?). Thank goodness I never got around to booking the golf cart. On the way to Tops’l, I received check in instructions that said no golf carts allowed. I emailed again, then finally called Vacasa. They were obviously not at the property location and had no clue about the information they were giving to me. I was advised to call Tops’l front office. From there, I found out this: no golf carts allowed, beach umbrellas and chairs are available for rent, and the shuttle runs from 9am to 7pm. The unit was clean upon arrival. There were plenty of towels, wash cloths and hand towels. The kitchen was stocked with cookware and utensils. The bunk beds were wobbly. Screws were loose and had to be tightened. There were no ladders to access the top bunks. Kids have to climb up and down from the end of the bed (NOT safe). I would guess all that incorrect climbing is what caused the screws to be loose and beds to be shaky. I had to move the chest of drawers away from the end of the bed, as it was a hazard for kids climbing down. The top bunk mattresses exceeded the height of the railing (again, a safety issue). The dishwasher was broken. I called maintenance about it and the shaky beds. They did come to tighten the screws, but the dishwasher was never fixed. The townhouse is a short walk to the beach, as an adult, but not so much for 4 kids and all the stuff that goes with them. We thought it would be too much of a hassle to load on the shuttle with other people on there, so we made the decision to drive. Guess what? There’s no beach parking. One person would drop the rest of us off, drive back to the house, then, walk back to the beach. We weren’t ready to leave by 7, so it was walk back to the house, drive to the beach access, load everyone up, and drive back. This was not hard, but not convenient either. All in all, it was not a bad stay, but I would not stay there again or recommend it to anyone else.

Nice,Big, And Sucked
We loved how big the house was and spacious, the indoor and outdoor pool at the fitness center was very nice with the sauna and steam room.

Ok experience not the Best
The house was relatively clean but there was wasted, dried up soda at the bottom of the sofa. If you are there during the summer be aware of water bugs...we kept the bathroom lights on at all times. The master bedroom TV did not work, the living room TV you can't stream anything, tried to connect my Firestick but the internet would not work. Spoke with the front desk and they said they were sending someone to fix the TV but they never showed up and no one ever reached out. Not the first time I stayed at this particular property and it was not a five star stay either. The sofa is not good, cushions move as you're system, super annoying. I wouldn't not stay again but it would not be my first choice. Loved the pool and screened porch.

Great Family Place!
This Sierra Dunes home is very nice! Clean and great layout. The private pool is well kept and great for young children and adults as well! Inside the accommodations are great. Lots of room and beds for sleeping. We love Tops’l! It has been a family favorite for many years. The Vacasa people are very friendly and helpful.

Great vacation home
The house was larger than we expected and was decently stocked. The private pool was well maintained and was a definite plus! My wife and daughter were excited to find that the clubhouse offered fitness classes and tried out yoga one morning. The house is about a 10-15 min walk to the beach and the shuttle service came directly to our door. The house could use a little updating but that was certainly not a show stopper.
