We have stayed at Tops'l Summit several years in a row. This building is located very short walk to the beach, which is why we always return. This property advertises king bedroom and a 2nd bedroom with a queen bed and twin bunks. The queen was actually a double (full) size bed, not a queen bed. My father eventually moved to the couch. There are several modern updates which were pretty. However, you do lose dining table and eat around the large island. My sister liked this. However, it does make it difficult to play family games if you need a table. The modern update to the primary shower was nice but lacked the weather strip at the bottom of the shower door. Water leaks onto the floor, which has ruined the new flooring. We noticed water when we checked in and quickly realized the problem. The water pools under the floor panels and seeps up from beneath the new flooring at the seams when you walk. The floor stayed wet our entire stay. This will need an entire floor repair. The most significant change from previous years, which may affect us returning to Tops'l, is the HOA passed a new rule of umbrellas only on their beach property (no tents). For families like mine who come prepared with beach equipment including tents, this new rule deters leasing again at Tops'l properties. They also have a "no pets" rule except for owners. This should be reconsidered with pet deposits for responsible pet owners since there is a pet walking area on the property.

Beautiful decor

This unit was beautifully decorated. Just a short walk to the beach or you could take a shuttle. Only negative about the unit was loud toilet in the master bath and poor water pressure in master shower but that was just an inconvenience. Still a beautiful unit!!

It was so nice and spacious. The bunk bed came in handy for the grandkids. The kitchen was fully stocked with supplies to cook.

Great place to stay!

We were very pleased with our stay here. Short walk to the beach and the condo was very nice. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything might need and it is very spacious! Our only minor complaints are that the toilet in the master bath was very noisy and the shower head in the master bath had terrible water pressure. Otherwise, it was a great stay and I would stay here again!

Summit 204 is

We’ve had bad experiences previously with vacation rentals, but Summit 204 renewed our faith! The condo was nicely updated and fully stocked. It’s equipped with every kitchen gadget you can think of. All you literally need to bring is your own food supplies. The owners even had four complimentary beach chairs for use! This alone saves you from having to pay a rental fee per day if you rent from the beach vendor ($15 per chair - not including umbrella). Speaking of beach, the unit is a short five minute walk away from the beach, or you can use the complimentary golf cart shuttle. I’ve been to Destin several times, but this was honestly my best experience, and this condo was a major factor. Everything from the management to the condo itself met my expectations. I cannot speak enough about the management team as well. They are professional and prompt with communication. You can tell that they care about the guests’ experience. My family and I were very comfortable here, which allowed us to fully enjoy our trip. The condo has a very spacious layout and can comfortably house 5-6 guests. It’s located in a very desirable area of Destin, and the beach has silky white sand with gorgeous emerald/blue water. There are SEVERAL amenities and restaurants nearby. Too many to list, but everything you will possibly need from national grocery and restaurant chains, pharmacies, local restaurants, outlet malls, and so much is less than a 10 minute drive away. Don’t think twice. If this unit is available, book it.
